We went to this beach that was similar to a hotsprings. Normally people go during low tide and dig a hole in the sand and the hot water comes up. We tried to dig down into the sand to find the hot water but that wasn't working very well. So then this guy offered to let us add on to the front of his hole since he was near the hot water was but even though the tide was going down the swell was going up (there had been a pretty big storm the night before) so the waves kept breaking the walls of our hole. We felt the hot water for a while but we never got it big enough to sit in or anything. Then a bunch of us just played in the ocean, which was crazy because the waves were so so very powerful! Afterwards we went to the Cathedral Cove which was way cool! It's hard to describe but you can just see the pics!
